Suing another professional can be a daunting prospect; a view from another expert in that field can be required. It is not sufficient to show that another professional would have acted or advised differently, it is necessary to show that the professional in question did not act or advise with the degree of skill and competence which might reasonably be expected.
Some examples of cases where compensation has been recovered
