Restrictive covenants

“Can I set up another business if I leave this one?”
If you were employed or in partnership or were party to a shareholder’s agreement you may have signed a document containing “restrictive covenants”.  To the extent that these are reasonable, these may prevent you from trading within a particular geographical area for a period of time.  We can advise you as to whether these covenants are reasonable and the nature and effect of them if they are.  We can discuss with you the strategies to adopt to minimise the risk of having a claim made against you.
