About us

Who are we?

Tony Hughes formed Hughes Enterprise Law when he returned to his home town of Bristol in 2003. He identified the need for a new way of providing commercial law services to small and medium‐sized businesses, as well as the people who run them. His approach is to work with every client, sharing his 30 years of legal experience (much of which has been gained whilst working in a top 50 law firm) to inform, enlighten and empower them – above all helping them to achieve their business goals.

What makes us so different?

Imagine you have an in‐house lawyer or Company Secretary that is an expert in commercial legal matters for small and medium‐sized businesses. This person is there to give you an initial view as to the way you should tackle your legal issues. Their advice is detailed, where appropriate, but most importantly reflects the priority you put on the financial implications of your actions. They may be able to handle the matter themselves but, if not, they can help you to appoint and manage another expert professional.

Imagine? This person is Tony Hughes at Hughes Enterprise Law.

If you aren’t convinced already, what else might you want to know?
